Getting Started in Attack on Titan Paradis

Spawn, gear up, and survive your first 20-player server.

Getting Started

Your first Attack on Titan Paradis session should not be a mystery tour. The experience has been live on Roblox since 31 December 2021, it still warns that many systems can change, and the UI assumes you will read the in-game control prompts. This page is the missing briefing: what to click between the Roblox play button and your first clean nape.

Launch and area select

Open the official game from links. After loading you get an area selection menu. The last map rework rebuilt Paradis and Marley and added Another Forest. Pick one:

  • Paradis — walls, districts, and the classic Scout fantasy. Good default.
  • Marley — denser urban props after the remodel. Strong for street ODM practice.
  • Another Forest — new vertical timber. Use it when you want hook points without city clutter.

You cannot “pick wrong” forever. Learn one map well before you hop. Servers hold 20 players; a full lobby means you will share airspace with shifters and Scouts who already know the refill spots.

Spawn checklist

  1. Move. Confirm WASD or the mobile stick works before you touch gear. Low-end phones can hitch here — the Roblox page warns that mobile is supported but may run poorly.
  2. Equip Omni-Directional Mobility Gear. Gear is not always on you at spawn. If hooks do nothing, you are empty-handed. Comments on beginner videos repeat this constantly.
  3. Draw blades. Players ask how to “draw the blades” in almost every showcase. On PC the common answer is R. Confirm against the in-game prompt; patches shuffle bindings.
  4. Note gas and blade meters. Empty tanks end a flight. Empty blades turn you into a spectator. Refill stations exist on the map; the rework specifically fixed stations that sometimes did not give gas.
  5. Decide human or shifter for this life. You can play a full round as a Scout. You do not have to buy Colossal on minute one.

If you intend to shift, complete the how to transform steps: choose a titan, keep ODM equipped, then use the transform key (community reports Z, with N or P mentioned for some Colossal setups). If the titan menu dies after you die, leave and rejoin — that workaround is documented by players and is faster than mashing UI.

Your first five minutes in the air

Do not hunt a Colossal user. Hunt walls.

  • Aim at a building, fire a hook, boost, unhook, repeat. The dedicated ODM controls page is the drill book; this page only cares that you can stay up.
  • Keep a refill station in mind the way a racer keeps a pit. Running dry over a plaza is how new Scouts feed Jaw users.
  • On mobile, read mobile before you rage at dual hooks. The map update reworked ODMG buttons for touch for a reason.

Once you can travel a district without touching grass, open how to kill titans. The nape is the kill box. Legs stun if you boost into them — a trick that shows up in ODM tutorial comments and is worth practicing on a distracted target, not on a Warhammer who is already looking at you.

What to spend (and what to skip)

Attack on Titan Paradis is free to play. Robux is optional:

  • Bertolt / Armin Colossal — 180 Robux each, same kit, different face. Wait until you understand shifting. See Colossal and game passes.
  • 2x ODM Gas — 80 Robux. The best quality-of-life pass if you refuse refill discipline.
  • +2 Thunder Spears — 80 Robux. Only after you like spears more than blades.
  • Private Server Extra — 400 Robux command panel (fly, teleport, and more). Fun for private tests, not required to learn the game.

There are no active codes as of this check. Do not delay your first session waiting for a gift string. Learn how to redeem in five minutes and move on.

Pick a goal for session two

Pick one:

  • Land three nape kills without shifting.
  • Complete a circuit of Paradis on gas you refilled yourself.
  • Transform, roar, and eject without getting stuck in the select bug.
  • Survive a Jaw user long enough to hook away (see Jaw Titan).

Then read how to play for the broader loop and the titan tier list if session two is going to be a shifter session. The beginner picks page exists so you do not main Warhammer because the anime made it look easy — Warhammer players themselves say the secondary ability is what actually lands hits.

Shutdowns and “still in development”

The Roblox description is blunt: many aspects will change, shutdowns mean updates and bug fixes, join the community server to report issues. If a button moved overnight, check updates before you assume the wiki is wrong. We match group patch notes, not leaked Trello cards — this game does not publish a public Trello the way some Roblox titles do.

Stay on official channels listed under links. Unofficial “Paradis Island” groups with random Discord codes are not this developer.

Your job after this page is mechanical: hooks, gas, nape, maybe a roar. Everything else is flavor.
