How to Transform in Attack on Titan Paradis
Choose a titan, press the shift key, and get back in when the menu bugs out.
“How do I become a titan” is the most repeated comment under Attack on Titan Paradis videos, beating even ODM complaints. Shifting looks like a single button. In this Roblox experience it is a three-step loadout, a key that changes by titan, and a UI that sometimes refuses to open after you die. This page is the procedure.
The three-step shift
Players who actually got it working describe the same order:
- Choose Titan from the in-game select UI (not from Roblox’s avatar editor).
- Equip ODM Gear. Yes, even if you plan to spend the whole life as a giant. Several working reports say the transform key does nothing until gear is on.
- Press the transform key. The widely shared PC bind is Z to transform and to un-transform. Colossal owners also mention N or P depending on which Colossal they equipped. Believe the on-screen prompt over a year-old comment.
If step 3 does nothing, you skipped step 1 or 2. If you bought Bertolt Colossal and still cannot shift, confirm the pass is equipped on this account and that you selected that Colossal in the titan menu, not Attack by default.
Who you can shift into
The in-game roster shown in titan showcases is:
- Attack Titan — default all-rounder, best first shifter.
- Female Titan — speed and kick pressure.
- Jaw Titan — the kit other players call annoying.
- Armored Titan — charge and soak.
- Warhammer Titan — needs the secondary to land hits, per user reports.
- Beast Titan — throw kit, longer sightlines.
- Colossal Titan — Robux. Bertolt and Armin cost 180 Robux each, same kit, different face. The showcase author skipped a separate Armin clip for that reason.

You do not need every titan. You need one you can enter and exit without panic.
Colossal-specific notes
Colossal is the only shifter that is clearly a paid pass in the store. The description on both Armin and Bertolt products is “The God of Destruction!” Transformation size is the point and the problem. A patch had to stop the Colossal Titan rotating too quickly under certain conditions. If you still rubber-band while turning, you are fighting collision, not your keybinds. Transform in open plazas, not stairwells.
Un-transform (eject) with the same key you used to enter unless the overlay says otherwise. Ejecting into a wall can kill the human hitbox. Ejecting into a Scout swarm can kill you for a more traditional reason: napes still work on you.
The post-death select bug
A recurring bug: after you die, the titan choose UI will not take clicks. The practical fix from players is not a console command. Leave the experience and join again. Private Server Extra’s command panel will not repair a broken client menu.
Until that is patched for good, treat every shifter life as if the next death might cost you a rejoin. Do not rage-queue into a second shift attempt on a frozen UI.
Combat after you shift
Transforming is not a win. It is a class change.
- Roar now highlights nearby enemies in range and should apply knockback (both were called out in the map rework). Roar when you need a paint on Scouts you cannot see in foliage.
- M1 / M2 are kit attacks. Learn those two before any “ultimate” clip you saw on YouTube.
- Nape is still how Scouts delete you. Listen for hooks. The how to kill titans page is what your enemies are reading.
- Gas is a Scout resource, but you still care about it when you eject. Empty tanks after a Colossal life means you drop into a plaza with no escape.
Practice plan
- Pick Attack Titan. Do not spend Robux yet.
- Empty private-feeling corner of Paradis (or a quiet Another Forest patch).
- Transform, walk, roar, eject. Ten times.
- Transform, take a swipe on a dummy or a distracted player, eject on gas.
- Only then fight a real Scout who knows ODM.
If Attack feels slow, try Jaw next, not Colossal. Colossal teaches camera height, not fundamentals. The how to play loop still applies: refill, fight, reset.
Mobile and console shifting
Touch clients need the titan button plus the transform control after the ODMG rework. Do not cover the transform button with your boost thumb. Console players should look for the new prompts. If you cannot find transform, you are in the human loadout with no titan selected — return to select before you blame the controller.
What transforming is not
It is not a script. Unlock-all-gamepass executors that skip the Colossal pass are described on the scripts hub and come with safety risks. This page will not walk you through that. Buy the pass or play a free shifter.
It is also not a code. There are no active codes that grant Bertolt. Anyone selling that story is selling a different product.
Shift, roar, eject, rejoin if the menu dies. That is the whole skill.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers from the Attack on Titan Paradis wiki.
What key transforms you in Attack on Titan Paradis?
PC players most often report Z, with N or P mentioned for some Colossal setups. Trust the in-game prompt.
Why can I not choose a titan after I die?
A known UI bug. Leave the game and join again, then reselect. It is faster than clicking a frozen menu.
Do I need ODM gear to shift?
Working player reports say yes: select titan, equip ODM, then transform.
Is Colossal free?
No. Bertolt and Armin Colossal are 180 Robux passes each. See Colossal Titan and game passes.
