How to play Attack on Titan Paradis is not a single button chart. It is a loop you run on a 20-player Roblox server until gas, blades, or a roar knocks you out of it. This guide assumes you already spawned using getting started. If you still cannot hook, stop and open ODM controls.

The two jobs

Every life is one of two jobs.

Scout. You stay human. You travel on Omni-Directional Mobility Gear, slash napes, optionally fire thunder spears, and treat titans as bosses and other players as rivals. Scouts who main gear often say spears make titan killing easier than blades alone — that comment shows up under titan showcases for a reason.

Shifter. You pick a titan, transform, and play a giant with unique skills. Attack, Female, Jaw, Armored, Warhammer, Beast, and Colossal all exist in this experience. Colossal is a Robux pass (Bertolt or Armin). The others are selected in-game. Kit details live on the players hub and the titan tier list.

You can swap jobs between lives. You should not swap mid-tutorial. Learn Scout movement until you can flee a Jaw, then learn one shifter.

The match loop

1. Area. Paradis, Marley, or Another Forest via the select menu.
2. Loadout. ODM on. Blades or spears ready. Titan chosen if you plan to shift this life.
3. Travel. Hook, boost, refill. Gas is your clock.
4. Contact. A pure titan, a shifter, or both. Scouts go for nape or legs. Shifters go for swipes, roars, and kit skills.
5. Reset. Die, get stuck in titan UI, or extract. Rejoin if select breaks. Repeat.

Roar is not flavor. The map update made titan roar highlight nearby enemies and fixed roar knockback that sometimes failed. A roar is information and crowd control. If you hear it, assume someone just painted you on their HUD.

Gas, blades, and spears

Three resources, three failures:

• Gas — no hooks, no boosts, you walk. Buy 2x ODM Gas if you hate stations, or learn stations and save 80 Robux. See game passes.
• Blades — no nape. Reload with the in-game bind (community: R). Do not reload in a Jaw’s face.
• Thunder spears — explosive option. Extra +2 is an 80 Robux pass. Learn default count first. A Scout who cannot aim spears should stay on blades until how to kill titans feels honest.

The map rework fixed refill stations that sometimes did nothing. If a station still fails, change servers. Do not assume the pass is broken.

Fighting other players

This is a battleground, not a PvE raid playlist. Jaw users get called annoying because the kit closes distance. Warhammer users complain they cannot land a hit without the secondary. Colossal users delete sightlines when they transform. Your “how to play” answer changes with who is in the lobby:

• Against Jaw: keep vertical, do not stand on streets, pre-aim unhook. Read Jaw Titan.
• Against Armored: spears and persistence. Read Armored Titan.
• Against Colossal: do not stand under the transformation. Read Colossal.
• Against Attack: they are the all-rounder. Read Attack Titan and do not give them a free nape if they eject.

Friendly fire and team rules are whatever the current lobby enforces. Private servers with the Extra pass can change the rules entirely (fly, teleport, kill commands). Public servers will not.

Skills and ultimates

Titan showcases spend most of their runtime on unique skills, not on walking. Each shifter has a primary kit plus at least one “this is why I bought it” move. Learn your two buttons before you learn everyone else’s. The beginner picks page tells you which kits forgive bad aim.

Human skills are movement tech: dual hooks, boost timing, leg cuts. There is no prestige tree and no family gacha in Paradis. If a guide tells you to roll Helos, you are in the wrong wiki.

Platforms

• PC — best hook precision. Use shift-lock or whatever the current camera toggle is if the reticle drifts.
• Mobile — supported, painful on low-end hardware, better after the ODMG button rework. Use the mobile guide.
• Console — prompts were added in the map update. Bindings follow the in-game overlay, not a PC screenshot.

Voice chat is not supported on the Roblox listing. Coordinate in Discord or not at all.

A simple ruleset that wins more fights

• Never start a nape run on half gas.
• Never reload while a shifter is looking at you.
• Never transform in a box canyon if Colossal-sized collision can trap you (Colossal rotation bugs were patched; collision still exists).
• Never ignore roar highlights.
